About Halle (Saale)

We welcome you to our beautiful city on the Saale River. Halle is one of the greenest cities in Germany due to the huge park often called  „Peißnitz“, in the middle of the city. Almost 240.000 people live in Halle, 20.000 of them are students at our university. In Germany, where the largest cities have a population of one to three million people, Halle is not as tiny as you maybe think, but much is within walking distance. In this document we have collected some advices in case there is some free time before the conference starts. Feel free to ask us if you need more help.
